Double Failing Caused Baby's Death

An inquest has heard that an incorrectly positioned feeding line caused the death of nine day old Skye Hall-Walsh at Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary in March 2007. An x-ray which should have alerted doctors to the mistake was wrongly interpreted.

Hospital Negligence is Cause of Baby's Brain Damage

A High Court Judge has ruled that negligence at a Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester was the cause of massive brain damage to a baby born in 1997.  In his 33 page judgment Judge David Foskett QC, sitting as a Deputy High Court Judge, says that an unnecessary four minute delay in the delivery of Luke Purver was the cause of his injuries.
