Business Essentials for Owner Managers

Two of the region’s biggest business advisers are joining forces to host a special seminar for growing small businesses.

Solicitors Burnetts and Chartered Accountants Dodd & Co are holding the seminar “Small Business Essentials” on Thursday 20th September from 8am – 11am at Dodd & Co’s Carlisle office.

Understanding accounts and the pitfalls of VAT registration will be explained by Claire Phillips and Faye Armstrong from Dodd & Co. Solicitors Hazel Phillips and Sam Lyon from Burnetts will be giving legal advice on employment law basics as well as trading terms and conditions and property leases.

Chartered Accountant Claire said, “Most of the businesses in Cumbria are small with less than five employees so it’s vital for the county’s economy that our small businesses are strong. This breakfast seminar is aimed at owner / managers and aims to give these busy people a concise overview of the legal and financial basics which are essential for a successful small business. ”
