Caroline RedheadAssociate SolicitorMandarin speaker Caroline Redhead is a Solicitor in Burnetts’ Corporate Law department. She joined Burnetts in September 2008 and became an Associate in 2010. Qualified in Hong Kong as well as England and Wales, Caroline began her career in the corporate/commercial department of Newcastle’s Dickinson Dees before moving to the Hong Kong office of the international law firm Slaughter and May. Whilst at Slaughter and May, she continued to develop her corporate experience and was part of the legal team scooping the International Financing Review’s Asian Equity Deal of the Year Award for the dual listing (London and Hong Kong) of a Chinese power company. Since joining Burnetts, Caroline has worked on a wide range of commercial matters, with a focus on contracts work for our Higher Education clients. Caroline has spent many months on secondment to UCLan where she has advised on funding agreements, IT contracts, intellectual property issues, UCLan’s international interests, charity law issues and general governance matters. Caroline has a degree in Chinese from the University of Durham, and completed her post-graduate law training at Northumbria University, from where she also received an LLM with Distinction in the year she joined Burnetts. Caroline lives in the Lake District and enjoys the outdoors. She has completed both the Great South and the Great North Runs, raising money for charity. Her challenge for 2010 is the Great North Swim! |
