Burnetts’ construction law team includes partners, Alan Chapman, Vaughan Jones, Michael Cousins and Douglas Claxton and is led by partner Jonathan Marshall.

All have worked extensively in the construction industry. Jonathan specialises in drafting and negotiating development contracts and has advised on PFI deals, local authorities, educational establishments and nuclear-based organisations as well as working with major contractors, sub contractors and the full range of consultants involved in large construction projects.

Alan Chapman is a specialist in land acquisition, development and sale. Much of his time is spent working with Cumbria's biggest house builders. Douglas Claxton advises on planning issues and has a particular expertise in developments such as wind farms with an environmental aspect. Litigator Michael Cousins is a member of the Technology and Construction Solicitors’ Association. Vaughan’s expertise is in public law and tendering procedures.
