The employment law department of Burnetts Solicitors in Carlisle, Cumbria is headed by Senior Partner John Morris who is Chairman of the Employment Committee of the Law Society of England which, amongst other things, advises the Government upon the implications of proposed legislation and general employment law issues.
Partners Kuba Strycharczyk , Joanne Stronach and Natalie Ruane, are also employment lawyers dealing in all aspects of employment law but with their own specialist areas. Kuba specialises in advocacy, discrimination issues (particularly disability and race), and Equal Pay. Joanne specialises in equal opportunities legislation, and bullying and stress in the workplace. Natalie Ruane specialises in pension practice and the relevant law. The Department is completed by Solicitors, Katie Sinclair and Hazel Phillips, who joined the Department in 2006 since when they have practiced exclusively in employment law gaining extensive experience of a wide range of employment matters. They have both since been made Associates with the Firm. The whole team of six employment lawyers is engaged in an active programme of seminars and bespoke training for clients.
