Avoiding Employment Law Problems

Managing personality clashes, petty complaints and employee grievances will be the focus of a one day course in Kendal in September.

Hosted by Carlisle solicitors Burnetts, Employment Law for Line Managers aims to help line managers and supervisors to properly handle everyday problems like worker under-performance and “We've always done it like this" objections. The practical session will be presented by employment law specialists Natalie Ruane and Hazel Phillips.

Natalie, who is a Partner at Burnetts, said, “Line managers are working with employment law issues every single day, but many feel they don’t have the knowledge and skills to deal with difficult, but common employment issues before they get out of hand. A confident, well-trained manager can stop a minor issue spiralling out of control and becoming a big, expensive employment law problem.”

Employment Law for Line Managers takes place from 9.30am – 4.30pm on 9th September, 2008 at the Castle Green, Kendal and costs £95 plus VAT per delegate. A buffet lunch is included.
