John Priddle

John Priddle is head of the firm’s commercial department.   He joined Burnetts in 1976 and became a partner in 1980.

John has specialised in property matters throughout his career. His thirty years' experience on a wide variety of issues for corporate and business clients includes work on numerous residential and commercial developments.  

John has been Burnetts’ lead property partner on a number of the firm’s key education contracts for more than a decade. He has dealt widely with further and higher education institutions on matters including acquisitions, sales and funding relating to multi-million pound projects, as well as dealing with the many issues that arise from the day-to-day management of a large property portfolio.

Work with housing associations is a particular interest for John. His considerable expertise covers land acquisition, development and infrastructure issues and general property work, as well as the private funding of an existing property portfolio.  He has a particular interest in rural housing in general and the problems associated with developments within the National Park.  He is a Director of the Cumbria Rural Housing Trust.
