Burnetts' personal injury department is headed by Richard Bain, a member of the Solicitors Regulation Authority Personal Injury Accreditation Scheme. He specialises in compensation claims for people who have been injured in industrial accidents.

Partner Nick Gutteridge joined the personal injury team in June 2007. Also a member of the Solicitors Regulation Authority Personal Injury Accreditation Scheme, Nick looks after clients who have sustained catastrophic spinal or brain injuries in accidents on the road, at work or elsewhere as well as people with work-related illnesses and other injuries.

Riekje Sefton specialises in claims for brain, spinal and other catastrophically injured clients. She is a member of Headway's list of suggested legal advisors.

Solicitor, Sue Chappell handles occupational disease cases such as asbestosis and vibration white finger as well as cases involving injury from beauty or hair treatments.
