Richard Miller

Associate Solicitor

Richard Miller read Law at the University of Newcastle before joining Burnetts as a trainee solicitor in 2005, although he had spent summers with the firm as a work experience student since 2000.

A native Cumbrian and a member of Carlisle Young Farmers, Richard’s enthusiasm for the countryside pre-dates even his interest in law.

Richard is now Head of Burnetts’ Agriculture department, advising farmers and agricultural-based businesses on issues like the sale and purchase of farms or commercial property and agricultural tenancies as well as farm partnership agreements, wayleave agreements and Single Farm Payment work. He was promoted to Associate in 2008.

He is a member of the Agriculture Law Association.
