Sam Lyon

Associate Solicitor

Sam Lyon works in Burnetts’ Corporate and Commercial  team, advising businesses on issues such as company legal procedures, contracts, business sales and acquisitions and property.

Originally from Cumbria, Sam read Law and Accounting at Newcastle University. He returned to the County in 2004 to work at Burnetts and was promoted to Associate in 2008.

He has a particular interest in advising small owner-managed businesses and the recent arrival of twin boys keeps him busy when not in the office.

Sam is coordinator for Burnetts’ Lawyers for your Business scheme which provides free legal advice to start up businesses.
