We take our responsibility to work towards a more sustainable future very seriously and our intention is to be net zero in advance of the Government’s deadline of 2050.
We factor sustainability into everything we do. Over recent years this has increasingly become a natural way of working for us; it makes good business sense.
We have engaged a third-party expert to accurately calculate our current carbon footprint so that from 2024, we can work to reduce this in measurable terms, year on year. We’re currently awaiting our calculation, but to date, changes we have implemented in working towards this goal have included:
- Establishing an Environmental, Social and Governance Committee, tasked with implementing measures to reduce our carbon footprint every year.
- Starting to undertake an in-depth review of our current energy usage so that we can begin to identify ways in which we can reduce this.
- Installing new lighting systems which use 80% less energy than the previous systems.
- Investing in more energy efficient technology as a matter of routine whenever items need upgraded or replaced.
- Recycling everything we can, from our paper and card to our laptops and IT equipment.
- Planning a review of our waste and how we can further reduce this and recycle more.
- Introducing monthly litter picks in the areas around each of our offices.
