Getting your affairs in order - January 2020
22nd January 2020
Getting your affairs in order doesn’t just mean taking the Christmas decorations down and having a good tidy. How many times have you said to yourself “next year I’m going to…” or “I keep meaning to…”? It’s one thing delaying actions where the result will only affect you. It’s another thing delaying actions that can have far-reaching consequences on you and your loved ones, now and in the future.
Over the next 12 months we will focus on legal topics that will be relevant to you and your everyday life. We will be considering general estate and tax planning, elderly client and care home advice, powers of attorney, trust creation and management, how to keep the farm in the family and Wills. Collectively in the legal world this array of work is known as Private Client.
The legal profession is well versed in reacting to problems and we do this naturally, but we are also expert planners – future proofing your affairs and planning for the unexpected.
Many situations we encounter would have been more favourable if we had had early involvement.
We hope that you will find these blogs interesting and relevant. If they raise more questions than they provide answers, and you would like to discuss any aspect further, then give us a call on 01228 552222.
