New Support for Farmer Network

Free legal advice for members

The Farmer Network

Burnetts has been looking after farmers in the North of England for over 100 years. Now, the Cumbria law firm has teamed up with The Farmer Network to provide free legal support to its members.

From 1st July 2012, all Farmer Network members will be able to access a free half hour of legal advice as part of their membership package. The offer covers all the areas of law provided by Burnetts including specialist areas such as farm sales or farm partnership disputes as well as farming divorces and energy developments.

Richard Miller is Head of Agriculture at Burnetts and has been recognised nationally as a leading agricultural lawyer. He said, “The Farmer Network is about providing practical and relevant support to farmers in Cumbria and the Dales. We want to help farmers too. I hope members find the free 30 minutes of advice a useful benefit and that it encourages members to take legal advice when they might otherwise have tried to deal with a difficult issue alone.”

The Farmer Network's Managing Director Paul Harper said, "As the Network has grown in size with now over 600 members and 11 part-time employees, we have found the need for a solicitor and Burnetts have been very helpful. They have joined the Network as a corporate member and have been good enough to offer our members half an hour free legal advice, which is very generous. I have been very pleased with the service they have given the Network so far and found the company very professional."

Members with legal queries can claim their free half hour legal advice by contacting agricultural solicitor Diane Barnes on 01228 552222 or email dkb@burnetts.co.uk.
