The ideal candidate will be Newcastle based to drive our strategic expansion in the North East, but we have flexibility for the role to be based from our Carlisle office. Location can be flexible (allowing for some remote working) for the right candidate.
Who are we looking for?
You will be involved in a broad range of Corporate work, but principally M&A transactions, joint ventures and shareholders’ agreements. The focus will be advising the team’s roster of business clients, and leading M&A transactions.
As a senior lawyer, you will have strong transactional experience, a commercial approach and the ability to build effective relationships. Whilst a following is not required, a network of contacts would be an advantage. You will have experience of, and enjoy being the first point of contact for clients, and be expected to play a leading role in the growth of our Corporate offering.
You will have early exposure to market leading transactions working with our high-quality client base. As well as running your own matters, you will be working with deal teams on larger transactions, and be expected to assist in the ongoing development of junior team members.
This is a key senior position within an expanding team, with clear opportunities for progression within the firm.
