Burnetts is one of the biggest and most progressive law firms in the North of England and we are looking to recruit a full time Solicitor to join our Employment & HR team working from either our Carlisle or Penrith offices.
Who are we looking for?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Employment Solicitor to join our growing team of employment and HR specialists.
This is a new role and the successful candidate will join our team which currently consists of 5 solicitors, 4 HR professionals and 3 dedicated project and administrative support team members.
The work will involve providing advice and support on all aspects of employment law, both contentious and advisory. The work will be varied and will include advising on disciplinary, capacity and grievance action, restructure and redundancy exercise, settlement agreements as well as Employment Tribunal cases. The post holder will also assist senior members of the team on large complex matters, as well as providing support to our Corporate and Commercial team on business transfers.
Candidates should ideally have 1-2 years PQE in employment law. However, applications will be considered from newly qualified solicitors if they have undertaken a seat within employment law.
The post holder will also fully participate in aspects of the team’s business development initiatives including seminars, workshops, on-line development and bulletins.
