Burnetts is one of the biggest and most progressive law firms in the North of England and we are looking to recruit a full time Solicitor to join our Employment & HR team, in either our Carlisle or Newcastle office. We are also an accredited 'Great Place To Work.'
Who are we looking for?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Employment Solicitors to join our growing team of Employment and HR specialists.
The successful candidates will work closely with our team of legal fee earners in our Employment & HR team in either Carlisle or Newcastle.
The work will involve providing advice and support on all aspects of employment law, both contentious and advisory, to our commercial client base. The work will be varied and will include advising on the full range of employment law matters.
We are looking for two roles, one senior, one junior. The senior candidate ideally will have an excess of 8 years PQE, whereas the junior solicitor should have between 1-4 years PQE in employment law. However, applications will be considered from newly qualified solicitors if they have undertaken a seat within employment law.
The senior post holder will undertake large complex matters with our commercial clients, as well as working collaboratively with our Corporate team on business transfers. The junior post will assist the senior solicitors in the team. Both post holders will also fully participate in aspects of the team’s business development initiatives including seminars, workshops, on-line development and bulletins.
What do we offer?
This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidates with the potential of longer-term career advancement in a forward-thinking law firm with a well-established client base. Along with this we will provide a competitive salary, pension, 30 days holiday and a comprehensive AXA PPP Private Medical Insurance package; in addition, we will even give you your birthday off every year too!
