Aimed at professionals including accountants, independent financial advisers and land agents, this free breakfast briefing aims to equip delegates with the knowledge to spot the warning signs of a potential probate dispute.

James Fryer-Spedding – How to challenge a will
An experienced barrister, James will highlight the warning signs of a probate dispute and how best to handle issues such as undue influence, suspected fraud and capacity.
Johnny Coulthard –Investigations & Costs
Solicitor Johnny Coulthard will describe the practical stages and considerations in a probate dispute, including the cost implications and funding options.
Rachael Stephenson – Minimising the risk of a challenge
Head of Wills, Probate & Trusts at Burnetts, Rachael will focus on the steps professionals can take to avoid disputes including the importance of transparency, fairness and Powers of Attorney.
James Johnston – Broken promises
Head of Dispute Resolution, James will explain the legal remedies when the promises of bequests made in life do not materialise following a death.
