With mental health causing 16 million sick days each year and an annual cost to employers of between £33 and 42 billion, it’s an issue that no employer can afford to ignore.
Whether caused by problems at home, work or the working environment, the impact of poor mental health amongst the workforce can be enormous for a business’ bottom line, with lost working days, poor productivity, low morale and the risk of legal claims.
This one-day conference brings together experts in the field to look at how employers can promote better mental health amongst their staff, both for the workers’ benefit and also for the good of the businesses they work for.
With interactive and engaging presentations from Carlisle Eden Mind, CIPD, Acas and the specialist employment law and HR team at Burnetts Solicitors, delegates will take away clear, practical guidance on:
- How better workforce mental health can be achieved;
- How mental health issues in the workplace can be managed effectively; and
- How the risk of legal claims can be reduced.
The conference begins with optional participation in introductory sessions on mindfulness or yoga with Caroline does Yoga, followed by delegate registration from 10am with the speaker presentations beginning at 10.30am.
Maximum of three places per organisation.
Delegate rate: £45 + VAT.
