Data Protection Complaints
How to make a complaint
You can use this process to submit a complaint to us about how we have handled your personal data or your data rights.
This process should not be used for general service complaints where they are not related to data protection matters. You can find our general complaints procedure here.
In the first instance it may be helpful to contact the person who is working on your case to discuss your concerns and we will do our best to resolve any issues at this stage.
If you would like to make a formal complaint, then you can read our full data complaints procedure here. Making a complaint will not affect how we handle your case.
Please contact our Managing Partner and Data Protection Officer, Nick Gutteridge, by telephone on 01228 552222, by email at hello@burnetts.co.uk or by post at Victoria House, Wavell Drive, Rosehill, Carlisle, CA1 2ST.
What do to if we cannot resolve your data complaint
The Information Commissioners Office can help you if we are unable to resolve your complaint ourselves. They will look at your complaint independently and it will not affect how we handle your case.
Before accepting a complaint for investigation, the Information Commissioners Office will check that you have tried to resolve your complaint with us first.
If you have, it is advised that complaints to the Information Commissioners Office should be made within 3 months from your last meaningful contact with us.
If you would like more information about the Information Commissioners Office, please contact them using the details below.
