Information about Cookies

There are two different types of cookies present on our website (http://www.burnetts.co.uk).

1. Functional Cookies

Our website content management system (Expression Engine) makes use of functional cookies which are essential to store your cookie preferences and also to allow you to use forms.

No individual can be identified by the data which is collected. These cookies are set automatically unless you have disabled cookies in your browser.

The functional cookies used are as follows:

Cookie Name

Cookie Duration

Description

exp_cookies_allowed

1 year

Holds a 'yes' or 'no' value depending on whether you have consented to allowing the use of cookies on our site.

exp_last_activity

1 year

Contains the date of your last activity on the site.

exp_last_visit

1 year

This is only relevant to registered users and contains data relating to the dates of your visits to the site.

exp_cartthrob_session_id

4 hours Keeps track of purchases within Market-place shopping cart.
exp_flash 24 hours  Keeps track of whether adding an item to the Market-place shopping cart was successful and whether there were any errors.

exp_tracker

Session (until the browser is closed)

Keeps track of the last 5 pages you visited on the site and allows us to redirect you to the page you were on before sending us an email through a contact form.

exp_csrf_token.  1 hour

CSRF stands for Cross Site Request Forgery. This cookie is a security enhancement for Expression Engine. Immediately before any forms are sent on the site, this cookie is set. Expression Engine then verifies that the cookie in the browser was the one that it set, therefore confirming the submission from the site is genuine.

The cookies “exp_last_activity” and “exp_last_visit” also allow us to optionally show you which content has been updated since your last visit.

The privacy policy of Expression Engine can be viewed here

2. Website Reporting Cookies

Burnetts’ website uses software called Google Analytics to provide us with statistical information to improve our website’s content and functionality by reporting, for example, which are the most popular pages and / or which search terms were entered to reach the site.

Again, no individual can be identified by the data which is collected. These cookies are set automatically, unless you have disabled cookies in your browser.

Google Analytics uses the following cookies:
