Burnetts appoints further Corporate Partner
We’re pleased to announce that we’ve recently appointed Peter Robinson - a highly experienced Corporate Partner. Peter has joined our Newcastle team and brings with him more than 27 years of corporate experience.
Peter was Head of the Corporate team at his previous firm and has worked across the region, advising businesses ranging from start-ups to listed companies, on all their corporate and transactional matters.
Peter adds his expertise to our existing team, which is continuing to grow with an increasing number of client successes and his main focus is to continue this by further developing our offering to business clients.
“What attracted me to Burnetts is the quality of the people, the quality of the service offering and the commitment to developing the business in the North East,” he said.
“It has given me the opportunity to be part of something that is growing and going from strength to strength.
“I am very excited to be part of a business which has a really clear vision, values and culture. Burnetts is a great firm doing great things, is building a real presence with businesses in the Newcastle market and has a bright future in the region: it’s good to be on board and working with the other members of the team.”
Peter’s appointment follows that of Paul Bell, who joined us at the end of 2022. Paul was Head of Corporate at his previous firm and has been practicing for more than 20 years, specialising in mergers and acquisitions.
Our Corporate team works hard to be trusted advisors and a commercial sounding board for its clients and to provide a range of corporate services to support businesses at all levels, including mergers, acquisitions and disposals, private equity, restructuring advice, commercial contracts and corporate governance.
Michael Walby, our Head of Corporate, said that both appointments were huge steps forward for the team.
“Both Peter and Paul are an important part of our growth strategy for our Corporate team in Newcastle, which has been extremely successful to date,” he said.
“With both of them now on board, and the expertise and experience they bring, this is great news for both Burnetts and our ever-expanding presence on the business landscape in the North East.”
