Five Tier 1 rankings for Burnetts in The Legal 500 2027
We’re delighted to share that Burnetts has secured five Tier 1 rankings in The Legal 500 UK Solicitors 2027 guide, with 20 of our lawyers also receiving individual recognition.
This year, we are recommended across 10 practice areas, with our Commercial Litigation, Medical Negligence and Serious Injury, Agri and Estates, Contentious Trusts and Probate, and Commercial Property teams all achieving the highest possible Tier 1 ranking.
It’s an achievement we’re incredibly proud of, particularly because The Legal 500’s research takes into account feedback from clients and other legal professionals, as well as detailed submissions from law firms.
Recognition across our teams
Alongside our five Tier 1 rankings, we’re delighted to see so many of our people recognised individually. Ten Burnetts lawyers have been named as Leading Partners, three as Next Generation Partners and seven as Leading Associates.
Our Commercial Litigation team is highlighted for its strength across commercial and corporate disputes, property litigation and contentious trusts and probate work, particularly within the agribusiness and land sectors.
Our Agri and Estates team is recognised for the breadth of its specialist expertise, covering areas including the sale and purchase of land, property rights, succession planning, renewable energy projects and dispute resolution, as well as mines and minerals work.
Our Medical Negligence and Serious Injury team is also recognised for its work handling complex and high-value claims, while Contentious Trusts and Probate and Commercial Property complete our five Tier 1 rankings.
We are also recommended for Corporate and Commercial, Banking and Finance, Employment, Family and Property Litigation.
With offices in Carlisle, Cockermouth, Kendal, Hexham and Newcastle, these results reflect the expertise and commitment of colleagues across Burnetts.
