Continued Expansion for Burnetts' Agribusiness Team
After successfully completing his training contract at Burnetts, Sam Mitchell is now a qualified solicitor specialising in agriculture. Sam will become the seventh member of the team creating the largest dedicated Agribusiness team in the North West.
Sam joined Burnetts in January after transferring his training contract from another firm, he commented “Training with nationally recognised solicitors and being part of industry leading teams has been a great challenge and one that I have enjoyed enormously. To be part of such a forward thinking and ambitious firm is something I am proud of and I look forward to continuing my legal career at Burnetts and to help keep pushing the firm forward in the future.”
Sam’s appointment within the team allows Burnetts to cement their continued growth within the Agricultural market. He said, “Joining the Agribusiness team at such an exciting time in its development is a great opportunity for me. Working with agricultural clients is really rewarding because the advice we provide can make such a difference to their businesses. Being part of this specialist sector means that I can enjoy a varied case load where no two matters or days are the same.”
Partner and Head of Property within the firm Richard Miller said “The current challenges within the agricultural sector mean that the need for specialist advice is increasingly in demand. Our clients continue to recommend our services to other farmers and Sam’s appointment enables us to increase our capacity so to ensure our service continues to evolve and exceed client expectations”.
Sam is one of nine trainees within the firm, as a trainee they are given a significant amount of responsibility and scope to drive matters forward and build relationships with clients and are continually encouraged to improve and hone their legal skills. Richard said “This is another example of how Burnetts is committed to developing young talent through our training system. The firm’s continued expansion across the region means that we are able to train specialist lawyers like Sam and then provide them with a career path without having to leave the area in search of the bright lights of London or Manchester”.
