Hats for Headway 2024

An interesting day in our offices today as we’re supporting Hats for Headway Day and sporting some rather unusual headwear…

Hats for Headway 2024

Hats for Headway Day is to raise awareness and funds for Headway, the Brain Injury Association which provides vital support for those affected by brain injury and comes just ahead of the charity’s Action for Brain Injury Week 2024.

This year’s Action for Brain Injury Week has the theme of ‘A life rewritten’ and will illustrate how brain injury can affect anyone at any time, focussing particularly on how it throws plans into disarray, changes life goals, and even the sense of who we are.

The campaign will chart positive examples of brain injury survivors who have experienced post-traumatic growth and successfully rebuilt their careers, relationships and lives and it will also outline the realism of life post-brain injury and how positive outcomes aren’t always the norm.

Our specialist brain injury solicitor and chairman of Headway Wearside Paul Brown said of the event:

“It’s great to raise awareness of those living with acquired brain injuries and the particular issues they face. Every brain injury is different and the peer support provided by the many Headway Groups and Branches both locally and nationally is very important.  As a brain injury specialist solicitor, I support many extraordinary clients who, thanks to specialist rehabilitation and care, are living their lives to their fullest post-accident. Headway is an amazing charity that offers a much-needed help and advice to acquired brain injury survivors across the UK and we are proud to continue to support them.”
