Melanie Milne (pictured above right)has a strong background in HR management across the public sector including local government, the NHS and the emergency services and she has joined Burnetts as a Senior HR Consultant. Melanie went to school in Lancaster, Hong Kong and Dubai before completing her degree and becoming a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). She lives in Carlisle and she enjoys holidays and spending time with her young family outside of work.
“I am so pleased to have joined Burnetts and am thoroughly enjoying my new role,” she says. “My skills, qualifications and experience are really valued and I feel like a key member of the team. The variety of my role as is great for me too - no day is ever the same. One minute I can be working in a school and the next in a private company. It’s great to meet new clients from different walks of life and to be able to help them resolve their HR and employment issues.”
Natasha (Tash) Ball (pictured above left) is originally from New Zealand but she has lived and worked in Cumbria since 2012. She joins Burnetts as an HR Adviser and brings a background in psychology, industrial relations and HR management as well as recent experience of HR work with a leading provider of specialist schools and children’s homes.
“Both Tash and Mel bring a range of valuable background experience to the team,” says Natalie Ruane, Head of Employment and HR at Burnetts, “and we’ve needed to expand in response to a surge of HR-related work in both the education and commercial sectors. We need people who understand the challenges of changing employment law as it affects schools and academies as well as higher and further education but we also need to be able to support a wide range of business clients in the commercial sector. With the additional appointment of a new HR Administrator as a first point of contact for clients, we’re set to provide the extensive range of Employment and HR advice and support that our clients need.”
