The Neuro Rehab Times Awards 2024

Neuro Rehab Times Awards 2024

We were very proud to sponsor the Neuro Rehab Times Award for Charity of the Year last week.

The NR Times Awards celebrate innovation, dedication and leadership in the neuro rehab world. They aim to shine a light on excellence in a wide range of categories, representing the many factors which influence the neuro-rehab journey.

As a chair of a local Headway Group and secretary of the national charity UK Acquired Brain Injury Forum, our Partner and brain injury specialist Paul Brown knows first-hand the hard work and dedication of the many trustees and volunteers that work behind the scenes across the charity sector. There were three fantastic charities shortlisted for the Charity of the Year Award and deciding the winner certainly wasn’t an easy decision for the panel…

1) Headway Derby is a local Headway group and a small charity whose mission is to improve life after brain injury. They offer a range of services including peer support groups, training and development courses, and a community outreach service. The trustees of Headway Derby have managed over this past year (in what have been challenging times for the charity sector) to turn around a large deficit to help the charity flourish and be financially sustainable.

2) The Silverlining Charity is a national brain injury charity which offers opportunities for all those affected by brain injury (Silverliners) to get involved in exciting and purposeful activities in the community.

3) The Spinal Injuries Association marked its 50th year in 2024 and provides a national network of support services including emotional support, specialist advice and support with healthcare needs, support securing social care packages, peer support and connecting others in the spinal cord injury community and campaigning for change. The SIA exists to help navigate the path after spinal cord injury.

The Neuro Rehab Times Award for Charity of the Year 2024 went to Spinal Injuries Association. We’d like to congratulate Nik Hartley and the SIA team on this wonderful achievement and also congratulate all the finalists on making the shortlist for this award. It’s great to see your hard work recognised in this way.
