This year’s ‘Look Ahead North’
We’re incredibly proud to be sponsoring this year’s ‘Look Ahead North’ – an annual activity-packed event for brain injury survivors and their families.
The event, organised by brain injury charity Headway and held in March at the Calvert Trust, Kielder, gives the attendees the opportunity to take part in a whole host of activities, including using a zip wire, archery, and high ropes, as well as providing the chance to socialise.
Ruth Owens, Director of Services at Headway UK said:
”LAN is a very special event that brings together brain injury survivors and their families for a weekend of fully accessible outdoor activities, while building confidence and friendships.
“It is the highlight of the year for many Headway members in the North East and Cumbria. The weekend brings together a community of brain injury survivors and their carers, to have fun, try new activities and experiences and to feel positive and excited for the future. We are so grateful to Burnetts for their vital support.”
Our Partner and specialist brain injury Solicitor Paul Brown is Chair of Headway Wearside as well as elected secretary for both The United Kingdom Acquired Brain Injury Forum and the Northern Acquired Brain Injury Forum. Paul said:
“I have seen at first hand what an amazing weekend LAN is, having had the privilege to attend every LAN weekend since the event started, and what a difference it makes to the people who attend.
“We are very proud to be able to continue to support this event and ensure that as many people as possible can take part.”
