Farming Divorces
In a county dominated by farming, it is inevitable that there will be separations and divorces involving farming families.
Typically, the farm provides everything for the family from accommodation to financial security and often the assets are substantial whilst the income can be limited. These cases therefore provide particular challenges and over the years Simon has become an expert in providing help to the families involved.
With a natural interest in farming and having lived in a rural community for the last 30 years, Simon is very familiar with the different types of farm businesses that exist in Cumbria and the particular challenges they throw up.
Simon is also familiar with many of the accountants and valuers who serve the farming community as well as having lengthy experience of managing these cases in court and ensuring they are properly understood and presented.
There are few lawyers dealing with farming divorces who are also collaboratively trained but Simon has on occasions used collaborative law very successfully to help his clients resolve their situations in a sensitive and constructive way.
If you are involved in any part of the business of agriculture or related businesses or employment then you will find Simon is understanding and experienced. He will give you helpful and realistic advice to assist if you are having difficulties in your relationship or it has broken down.
You can contact Simon on his direct dial 01228 552223.
