Although employment tribunal claims seem to be at an all-time low, the compensation limits that can be awarded will be increased as normal from 6th April 2015. The increase also affects the calculations for statutory redundancy pay.
Where a dismissal, or detriment, takes place on or after 6th April 2015, the maximum that can be claimed for a week’s pay will be £475 (up from £464 in 2014) and the maximum compensatory award will be £78,335 (as opposed to the £76,574 which could be claimed in 2014).
