From an entrepreneurs beginnings, the foundations of leadership must be created to prepare the business for growth and to weather turbulent economic conditions. Delivered by Kevin Foley, Chartered Management Institute NorthWest, this introductory session to leadership will focus on the transition from a start up and the leadership changes required to sustain business growth.

Whether your business already has a website or is planning to create one, failing to keep up and comply with the complex and changing legal rules can be fatal. Vaughan Jones from Burnetts Solicitors will look into these and provide an insight on how you can do a lot to lower your risks of doing business online.

John Heffernan from The Foundry Communications provides an insight in to how to keep your products and your brand relevant, influential and successful in the digital world.

Press or print? TV or radio? Instagram or Twitter? The ever-increasing amount of media choices have made it more difficult than ever before to select relevant ways to advertise your business. Sue Timpson from CFM Radio will look at where you can find your customers and, more importantly, what do you need to say to them when you do.
The innovation landscape in Cumbria
During this interactive workshop, Adrian Davis-Johnston from the Innovus Programme will ask the question "What is innovation?" with the aim to address what innovation encompasses and how open innovation and collaboration can significantly benefit your business.
