Legal briefings to raise money for Macmillan
Burnetts is to run a new series of legal briefings which will help businesses throughout the Eden Valley and raise money for the cancer charity Macmillan.
Burnetts has announced a new series of legal briefings which will help businesses throughout the Eden Valley and raise money for the cancer charity Macmillan.
The latest events’ programme from firm of solicitors in Cornmarket runs from June to September and includes sessions on debt recovery, family law for accountants and a briefing on managing cancer in the workplace from the firm’s Macmillian-trained HR Consultant, Anna Tuite.
Employment law Partner Natalie Ruane leads Burnetts’ Penrith office. She said, “The 2014 programme aims to reflect the needs of businesses in Penrith. Unfortunately, debt recovery remains an area of concern for business owners and any employer who has managed a worker with cancer will know the difficult and sensitive issues that employer and employee face. We hope these briefings will help alleviate some of the stress and raise money for Macmillan in the process.”
The sessions are all taking place at Burnetts’ first floor Cornmarket office (above Seagraves and Dixon) on the following dates and times:
Debt Recovery Tips and Legal Update: 24th June – 9.30am – 11.00am
Family Law for Accountants: 23rd July – 9.30am – 11.00am
Managing Cancer in the Workplace: 23rd September – 9.30am – 11.30am
The sessions are free, except the Managing Cancer event for which there will be a charge of £15 per delegate to be donated to Macmillan.
Places can be reserved by ringing Suzanne Thompson on 01768 800855 or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Due to limited places, booking is essential. Further information on the content on the sessions can be found at www.burnetts.co.uk/events.All News
