Our Dispute Resolution team of solicitors is led by James Johnston (a mediator fully accredited by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution). The team offers a rare combination of specialisms, with James an authority on professional negligence, and Johnny Coulthard an expert on Inheritance, Trusts and Will Disputes.

We will work with you to consider all possible means of avoiding litigation and wherever we can, will aim to bring proceedings to a conclusion as quickly as possible for you, ideally out of court. We are enthusiastic supporters of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and where we can, will work to support you in resolving the dispute yourself. This can be particularly appropriate in small claims, where the cost of retaining a solicitor for the whole case may outweigh the amount in issue.
