Abigail is an Associate Solicitor in the Commercial Property team, based in Cockermouth.
A former Cockermouth school student, Abigail studied law at Newcastle University graduating in 2012. Prior to joining Burnetts, Abigail was a paralegal to Legal Counsel at the Carrs Group Plc.
She joined Burnetts as a trainee solicitor in September 2013, following a series of successful work placements with the firm. She qualified as a solicitor in September 2015 and was promoted to associate solicitor in January 2019.
Abigail deals with a large and varied portfolio of property matters for a number of clients. Abigail's day-to-day work includes advising clients on the sale, purchase, leasing and charging of both freehold and leasehold land and property. She advises a local housing association on all property matters and assists Burnetts' Corporate team with the property aspects of business acquisitions and disposals. She also has a developing specialism in estate development work and assists local house builders in respect of the site set-up of residential developments.
A former competitive swimmer, Abigail has swum at national level representing both club and country and still enjoys keeping fit. She is the Legal Trustee for Team Evie, a local charity that assists sick children and their families. Abigail lives in Cockermouth with her husband and young family.
