Alix is a Solicitor in the Medical Negligence and Serious Injury team.
Solicitor Alix Walker joined the Medical Negligence and Serious Injury team in 2016, predominantly carrying out Personal Injury work.
A law graduate from Luton University, Alix completed her Legal Practice Certificate at Westminster Law School. She began her legal career as a paralegal at McKeag & Co before securing a training contract with the firm and qualifying as a solicitor in 2005. In 2009, she was awarded a Masters in Medical Law from Northumbria University.
Immediately before joining Burnetts, Alix was a solicitor at Winn Solicitors where she advised on high value claims, including complex orthopaedic injuries, resulting from road traffic accidents and accidents at work.
She is now one of a team of specialist medical negligence solicitors based at Burnetts’ Newcastle office: her role includes case management, client liaison, compiling witness statements and attending inquests and trials.
Outside of work Alix is busy ticking items off her lengthy travel bucket list. To date, she has witnessed a space launch at Kennedy Space Centre, been whale watching in Australia and sailed down the Mekong Delta in Vietnam.
