Daniel Addis is a Senior Planning Consultant in the firm’s Commercial Property & Planning team.
Following nine years as a practising town planner, Senior Planning Consultant Daniel Addis joined Burnetts in 2016, bringing with him a wealth of public sector and private sector expertise.
Daniel began his career with Turley based in Glasgow before joining Argyll and Bute Council as a Planning and Enforcement Officer. He then spent a period with a large planning consultancy in Glasgow and York where he worked on numerous, large scale renewable schemes including project -managing a 24 site feasibility study for a national utility company.
He joined Burnetts from Eden District Council where he was Senior Planning Officer with responsibility for a full range of planning applications and enforcement cases including major applications with Environmental Impact Assessments.
A Geography graduate from the University of Aberdeen with an MSc in Urban and Regional Planning from Heriot Watt University, Daniel has experience in all aspects of the planning process including initial site appraisals, consultation, application submission and appeals. He is a Chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI).
Daniel works alongside Burnetts’ planning solicitors Doug Claxton and Robbie Mather and Planning Consultant Bruce Armstrong Payne providing an end to end planning service for landowners and developers.
Daniel has a keen interest in the built and natural environments. He is currently building his own house in the Eden Valley.
