Senior Associate Solicitor Diane Barnes joined Burnetts in 2007 and qualified with a Law degree (LLB) in September 2009.
From a Cumbrian farming family, Diane has been a full-time, permanent member of the agriculture law team since qualification. She specialises in agricultural land, tenancies and property sales and has a particular interest in mines and minerals issues. Diane is dual-qualified in Scottish and English law so is particularly well-placed to advise landowners with cross-border issues
Diane acts for all manner of landowners, including trustees and countryside communities in relation to property sales and purchases. She also advises agricultural businesses in relation to their partnership agreement.

She read Law at Durham University before completing her LPC at Northumbria University where she was a prize-winning student. She enjoys fell walking and cooking in her spare time.
