Emma is a Trainee Solicitor in the firm's Medical Negligence and Serious Injury team.
Law graduate Emma Armstrong joined Burnetts as a trainee solicitor in September 2016 following a number of successful work experience placements within the firm during her studies.
Emma currently works within the Medical Negligence and Serious Injury team at Burnetts.
As part of her solicitor's training Emma spent a period assisting the corporate team with a variety of commercial client matters including mergers and acquisitions.
A former pupil of Caldew School in Dalston, Emma studied at Newcastle University and then went on to achieve a Distinction in her Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice at Northumbria University. She aims to qualify as a solicitor in September 2018.
From a farming family, Emma grew up in Cumbria and lives in Hesket Newmarket. She has previously worked for the Northern Fells Group as a Youth Coordinator, organising activities for local young people, and continues to be involved in the farming community as the club Chairman of Caldbeck Young Farmers. Emma is a member of the Junior Lawyers Division and also owns her own flock of pedigree Beltex sheep, which she regularly takes to local agricultural shows and has had a very successful year winning Champion at Ravenstonedale Show this summer.
