George is a trainee solicitor in the firm's Dispute Resolution team.
George Farrer joined Burnetts as a trainee solicitor in September 2016, after achieving Distinctions at Northumbria University in both her Graduate Diploma in Law and Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
Currently working within the Dispute Resolution team, George is supporting the team with a range of Dispute Resolution matters and will qualify into this department in September 2018.
George has undertaken work in the firm’s corporate commercial department, as well as litigation, and her experience to date includes a range of commercial litigation matters, supporting and advising clients on a range of contractual, construction, company and shareholder disputes.
George graduated with an Honours degree in Journalism at the University of Central Lancashire before becoming a journalist and deputy editor at Living North magazine in Newcastle. She also worked for CN Group, where she was responsible for fashion and interiors content for Cumbria Life and Carlisle Living.
After four years in journalism she then studied law at Northumbria University, where she achieved the Bond Dickinson Best Performance Award.
George grew up in Scaleby and currently lives in Stanwix. She is a keen runner, having taken part in a number of half marathons and the Barcelonea full marathon. She also spent time volunteering in an orphanage in Ghana during the summer of 2016.
George was recently appointed to the Shadow Board of Directors of BECBC, and is a Trustee of The Rock Currock Youth Project.
