George is a trainee solicitor in the firm's Dispute Resolution team.
George Farrer joined Burnetts as a trainee solicitor in September 2016, after achieving Distinctions at Northumbria University in both her Graduate Diploma in Law and Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
Currently working within the Dispute Resolution team, George is supporting the team with a range of Dispute Resolution matters.
A former pupil of William Howard School in Brampton, George graduated with an Honours degree in Journalism at the University of Central Lancashire before studying law at Northumbria University, where she achieved the Bond Dickinson Best Performance Award. She aims to qualify as a solicitor in September 2018.
George grew up in Scaleby and currently lives in Stanwix. She has previously worked for Living North as a journalist and deputy editor. During her legal studies she also worked part-time for CN Group, where she was responsible for all fashion and interiors content for Cumbria Life and Carlisle Living.
In May 2016, George spent a month in Ghana, living and working in an orphanage, teaching in schools and volunteering at the local hospital. She raised money for the school and enabled it to provide desks for the 200 children learning there.
George runs every day and has completed a number of half marathons including the Great North Run and the Cumbrian Run. She plays netball for Harraby Netball Club and has a passion for interior design.
