Paralegal Jessica Lyth joined the Medical Negligence and Serious Injury team at Burnetts in 2016.
North-East born and bred, Jessica completed her Masters in Law and Legal Practice Course at Northumbria University after attending Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College in Durham.
During her final year at university, she worked in the Student Law Office providing pro bono support on sensitive cases such as appeal applications to the Criminal Cases Review Commission.
After graduation, Jessica worked in the Complex Cases and Litigation teams of a large personal injury firm in Newcastle. Her role included improving business efficiency, assisting lawyers with complex cases and working on appeals.
At Burnetts, Jessica’s focus is clients who have been the victim of medical negligence or who have sustained serious injuries. She also manages a case load of clients with less serious injuries caused by road traffic accidents and accidents at work.
Outside of work, Jess loves getting involved in charity events like the Great North Run and other sporting activities. A dancer since childhood, Jessica has performed at the Royal Albert Hall and Saddlers Wells.
