Jessica is a Paralegal in the Court of Protection team, based in Newcastle.
Jessica joined Burnetts’ in 2018 as a Practice Support Assistant and was quickly promoted to Paralegal in the Court of Protection team.
In her day-to-day job, Jessica provides support to Caroline Manningham on the Court of Protection cases involving both children and adults. Jessica also provides support to other members of the Medical Negligence and Serious Injury team whilst any claims are ongoing. She assists with the preparation of the Deputy’s Annual Reports and prepares these for the Deputy to review and submit to the Court of Protection as well as drafting the annual Tax Returns in readiness for submission to the HMRC. In her last job, Jessica worked as a programme enabler at the North East Autism Society. Whilst in this role she helped individuals with ASD and other learning difficulties. She found this to be a very rewarding job, providing her with the motivation to go on and train to be a Legal Executive and help those affected in her area of work.
Born and living in South Shields, Jess enjoys travelling and undertaking challenges. In 2017 she trekked the Great Wall of China for Help 4 Heroes: she raised over £2000. Outside of work, Jess also enjoys reading, going to the cinema and spending time with her friends and family.
