Experienced development lawyer Kathryn Dean is a Senior Associate in Burnetts’ Commercial Property team.
She is based at Burnetts’ Penrith office and plays a key role within the firm’s growing property department, providing specialist advice to house builders, housing associations and landowners.
Kathryn’s area of expertise is large-scale commercial and residential developments: she manages all aspects of the development process including the acquisition of land for building, site assembly and the sale of units. Kathryn is also experienced in general property work such as landlord / tenant advice and supporting small businesses with buying and selling properties for retail, office or industrial use.
She joins Burnetts following a career in property law which has included time with Atherton Godfrey, Lupton Fawcett and Addleshaw Goddard. Her clients have included housing associations, major house builders, brewing companies and a church diocese.
A former student at Cockermouth School, Kathryn graduated from Keele University with an honours degree in Law with Social Studies before achieving her Diploma in Law at the College of Law in Chester.
Kathryn is originally from Penrith and has returned to live in the Eden Valley in 2016. Outside of work, she is a school governor and a keen gardener.
