
Louise Hanson
HR Consultant
Louise is a HR Consultant in the Employment and HR team, based in Penrith.
A BA Honours graduate, Louise gained her experience in HR management at both the generalist and strategic levels, mainly within the manufacturing and distribution industry, but she has also worked in the public sector for Cheshire Police and in the education sector.
Louise spent nearly 20 years with a globally renowned SME in the oil and chemical sector as part of the senior leadership team, holding key responsibility for HR strategy and processes, and for people management and development. Louise has experience in a number of talent management areas with knowledge of the employment law that underpins these areas, for example - change management (including a management buy-out and high value trade sale), workforce planning, recruitment and selection, development of contracts, policies and procedures, performance monitoring, disciplinaries and dismissals (including senior settlements), payroll and pension administration, and absence management.
At Burnetts, Louise has recently been applying the transfer of her skills to the education sector, where she is currently focusing on contracts and terms and conditions, but she is also able to advise and assist in a wide range of issues in the commercial sector.
Outside of work, Louise is a keen horse-rider. She is currently refurbishing the cottage she shares with her husband David, two cats and a soon to be found rescue dog.
