Martyn Wrightson is a Partner in the Wills, Probate & Trusts team at Burnetts. He joined Burnetts in 1971 and qualified as a solicitor in 1981. He has been a Partner since 1984.
Martyn’s specialisms include drafting wills, inheritance tax planning and trusts. He has a particular expertise in complex estate planning for farming families, often advising several generations of a family on wills, Powers of Attorney and trusts.
As a life-long supporter of Eden Valley Hospice, Martyn provides pro-bono advice to the charity on legacies, ensuring estates are properly and cost-effectively administered to the benefit of the Hospice.
Martyn attended Carlisle Grammar school (now known as Trinity School), before completing his Institute of Legal Executive qualification at Newcastle Polytechnic.
Martyn lives in Carlisle and is married with three children. Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf.
