Paralegal
Megan Hughes is a Paralegal in the Medical Negligence and Serious Injury team, based in Carlisle.
At Burnetts, Megan is the first point of contact for people looking for advice on serious injuries. Megan works predominantly within the serious injury team but she also supports the medical negligence team.
Megan graduated from the University of Cumbria in 2017 with first-class honours degree in Law where she played an active role in the student community: she was the Student Union’s student representative for three years; Vice-President of the Student Law Society and a leading member of the mooting society. She also received Access to the Bar Michael Sherrad Award within Middle Temple, which is only available to 8 law students per year in the UK.
Megan is currently studying her Legal Practice Course and Masters in Law at Northumbria University.
Growing up, she spent time living in Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Wales, before moving back to Carlisle to study at Trinity School. Outside of work, Megan enjoys walks in the Lake District.
