Michael is a Partner and Head of the Corporate team and one of the leading Corporate Lawyers in the North West.

He returned to Burnetts in 2014 following 10 years at international law firm Pinsent Masons, where he gained a wide range of experience advising on corporate matters.

Michael specialises in business acquisitions and sales. He has led many strategic and high-value transactions, including advising SIG PLC on several business acquisitions and disposals, and shareholders on the recent sale of Zoo Hardware to Tyman PLC.

Michael has established himself as a trusted business adviser to some of the region’s largest companies, including H&H Group PLC, Lloyd Motors, Cumbria Waste Group and Cumberland Building Society. Michael is passionate about all aspects of business, and particularly enjoys acting as a sounding board to entrepreneurs, advising them on strategic as well as legal matters.
