Nick is the Managing Partner at Burnetts.
Nick is instrumental in leading the current programme of change at Burnetts, which has seen the firm modernise its outlook, update its range of services and combine the best attributes of a well-established legal firm with the requirements for success in a 24/7 world.
He is proud of how the firm has evolved into a regionally and nationally strong organisation, while maintaining a strong and reassuring presence in its Cumbrian heartland.
Burnetts look after clients in a wide range of commercial and personal sectors. Its dedicated teams continue to perform well against the firm's vision and mission which is fundamental to Nick's ambition for Burnetts.
Nick is also the partner responsible for the Court of Protection team. As a Court of Protection Deputy, Nick helps vulnerable clients and their families on decisions crucial to the management of their long-term financial affairs.
Originally from Nottingham, Nick studied law at Hull University. After working in both Hull and Manchester, he joined Burnetts in June 2007, becoming Head of Private Client Services in 2011 and Managing Partner in 2014.
A keen fell-walker, Nick is married with three grown-up children. A dedicated fan of rugby union, with his two sons having progressed through the ranks at Penrith RUFC, he now watches them play in the North East, maintaining a love of the game in Cumbria. Remaining actively involved as a "roadie" for his daughter in her musical exploits in Cumbria and the North East, he still dreams (somewhat ambitiously) of "getting the band back together".
