Rachael Stephenson heads the Wills, Probate & Trusts team.

Rachael Stephenson is a Senior Associate solicitor and Head of Burnetts’ Wills, Probate and Trusts team. She joined Burnetts in 2017 from a niche private client firm in South Cumbria.
Having studied Law at Northumbria University, Rachael and continued her studies at the same institution to complete the Legal Practice Course. She returned to Carlisle to start her legal career whilst studying part-time for her Masters degree in European Law with French, qualifying as a solicitor in 2009. Rachael also holds a Masters degree in Advance Legal Practice.
An associate member of Solicitors for the Elderly and a recognised Dementia Friend, Rachael’s role at Burnetts involves helping clients with issues such as estate planning, trusts, Powers of Attorney, deputyship and estate administration. She is an experienced speaker and makes regular seminar presentations on her specialist subjects.
Outside of work, Rachael is a loyal supporter of a number of charitable causes; she acts as a Trustee for several local charities and regularly fundraises for others, including Burnetts’ Charity of the Year. She enjoys keeping fit, plays the saxophone and loves to bake.
She is based at Burnetts’ Carlisle office, but is happy to meet clients wherever best suits them.
