Rachael is a Partner and heads the Wills, Trusts and Probate team at Burnetts.
Recognised for providing "no-nonsense advice", Rachael's specialisms include advising on charitable and private trusts and personal planning for business owners.
She frequently deals with the higher-level succession planning needs associated with more complex family arrangements such as in cases of vulnerable beneficiaries, second marriages, High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth clients and those with cross-jurisdictional estates.
An experienced public speaker, Rachael regularly lectures on her specialist subjects. She is an Associate member of Solicitors for the Elderly and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, and a recognised Dementia Friend. In 2019 the Legal 500 recognised her empathetic approach to the needs of clients as a "breath of fresh air".
Having studied law at Sheffield and Northumbria University, Rachael qualified as a solicitor in 2009. After working for niche private client firms in London and South Lakes, she joined Burnetts in 2017.
Rachael also holds two further Masters of Law degrees - in European Union Law with French and Advanced Legal Practice.
Rachael is a Trustee of several charities, including Burnetts' Charity of the Year - Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, and fundraises for Target Ovarian Cancer and Teenage Cancer Trust. She promotes philanthropy in all its forms and is experienced in helping clients to realise their goals; giving as much as they can, in a tax efficient way whilst making the greatest impact to those in need.
