We are looking to recruit a full time Legal Assistant to join our Court of Protection team based at our Newcastle office, for a fixed term period of six months.
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will be an experienced administrator with strong organisational skills to support the department with specific legal tasks to include:
- Sorting Incoming/outgoing mail;
- Filing physical and digital;
- Open new files and checking/obtaining ID;
- Archiving;
- PA to Head of Department;
- Collating data;
- Reconciling bank statements;
- Preparation of forms;
- Assist with preparation of bills.
Knowledge and experience of assisting with legal matters would be welcomed but not essential. Specific training will be provided as necessary. Ideally a full-time role with potential for growth within the department
The successful candidate will have a friendly, calm and helpful approach to enable them to work closely with the team of legal fee earners on all aspects of this work. The ability to work as part of a team is therefore essential together with excellent communication, and IT skills.
