We’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Risk & Compliance to join our Business Services Team and lead the development of our compliance strategy. Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will develop and implement the Risk & Compliance strategy for the firm which will be aligned to the firm’s overall Business Plan.

 

As Head of Risk & Compliance, you’ll collaborate with the Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), providing expert guidance and oversight. This pivotal role sits within our Business Services Team, contributing to the delivery of exceptional support services that enable the firm to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and regularly review the firm’s Risk & Compliance strategy to ensure alignment to the firm’s overall aims, objectives and business plan.
  • Develop the Risk & Compliance Action Plan (deriving from the Risk & Compliance Strategy) to provide further detail on how the strategy will be achieved and implemented.
  • Maintain the firm’s compliance with its legal obligations as an entity regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), identifying and advising on upcoming legislative and regulatory changes. Keep up to date with directives, leading on dissemination and training
  • Manage the internal Risk & Compliance function to ensure an effective Risk & Compliance service to all parts of the firm.
