We have a rare opportunity for a Paralegal to join our leading Agri & Estates team and are interested to hear from candidates looking for full time hours.


Who are we looking for?

The Agri & Estates department is one of the largest dedicated teams of its kind in the UK. The team represents landowners and high net worth clients who require a high level of support and expert care in order to plan their future affairs. The role has the unique opportunity to work across both aspects of this practice area being Agricultural property work as well as Wills, Trusts and Estate planning.

Daily tasks may include:

  • Dealing with client enquiries and new enquiries
  • Initial drafting of documents
  • Liaising with other team members and clients
  • Land Registry and Probate Registry administration including the drafting of applications/forms, submitting and monitoring applications
  • Registration of charges at Companies House
  • Drafting and submitting SDLT returns
  • Using our case management and precedent systems
  • Assisting with the department administration where capacity allows

 

The successful candidate will have a proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude to enable them to work closely with a team of legal fee-earners, paralegals and legal assistants on all aspects of this work, and may have a fee earning target themselves. The ability to work as part of a team is therefore essential together with excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.
